Cascade Bicycle Club Ride Descriptions for October 1994

Saturday, October 1st

Help Celebrate Oktoberfest

We will ride the popular Bremerton-Poulsbo-Winslow loop including the northern extension including Big Valley Rd. About 30 miles into the ride we will stop to enjoy "Oktoberfest" at Thomas Kemper Brewery, where we will partake in food, drink, and live music from picnic tables. Note that Thomas Kemper also produces an excellent root beer and other non-alcoholic drinks besides their more famous products. Bring money for food, drink, and ferry. This is a joint ride with the Seattle Mountaineers.

Ron's Age Plus 100 Birthday Ride

Join Ron on his traditional "Age Plus 100 Birthday Ride" through Kitsap County and around Hood Canal. He knows it's Monday, but he's a traditionalist. Take vacation time; take the day off; come on out and celebrate (suffer?) with Ron on this 142 mile ride. Starts at the Colman Ferry Terminal, Seattle waterfront. Catch either the 5:25 am Bremerton ferry or 6:20 am Bainbridge ferry. Arrive a few minutes early to purchase tickets. Call Ron at 283-2036 if you intend to ride, because given the day, time, and distance, he will assume he's riding alone unless he hears affirmatively from prospective riders. Heavy rain may cancel. Call Ron to find out.
