routes seldom taking. We don't go looking for a challenge (we'll never ride
the Counterbalance), but neither do we avoid one (we've topped many a hill and
then waited for the sightseers among us.) Bring a bit of money for dinner
afterword at the TBD. Heavy rain means we eat early.

Explore the side roads of the Skykomish Valley from the quaint mountain town of
Index to the Tye River above the Cascade Tunnel. About 3,000 feet of climbing
on paved roads with manageable grades. Several stops to take in the river
scenery. Bring picnic lunch and LOTS of liquids (no water available near lunch
site.) Carpool at 7:45 am at Tracy Owen Station - please stop and see if we
can combine SOV cars and match car-less riders with rides.

overlook of Manresa Castle in Port Townsend. Meet at Colman Ferry Dock at 7:30
am to catch the 7:50 am ferry. This is an overnight, self-contained ride.
Riders are responsible for their own reservations at Manresa Castle in Port
Townsend. Sorry, the jacuzzi in room 301 is already reserved! But, there are
additional rooms with jacuzzi's, so make your reservations early!

A continuation of the STP training rides from Spring. Stay in shape or train
for other rides. Various routes from Renton to surrounding areas (Bellevue,
Issaquah, Maple Valley, Kent, Seattle, or Mercer Island). Depending on
turnout, group will split into two or three groups. Planned route will often
have a few good hills. Ride starts at 5:45 pm sharp!

bring a light just in case.
