Many of the Cascade Bicycling Club rides leave from Gasworks Park, just north of Lake Union in Seattle, WA.

Jack Tomkinson & Scott Kralik (the two goofballs on the tandem) lead great rides on Thursday evenings in the summer and weekends during the winter. Wendell Hultman (on the right) and Michael Hoodes (left, back turned) are two infamous regulars. Wendell rides every Tuesday and Thursday night, all year, rain or shine...

The Fremont Troll is a good place to stop for a breather.

My brother had several flat tires on our Ride Home for the 4th! (Seattle, WA to Grand Ronde, OR. 29 June to 3 July 1994).


One day we got dumped on, but after 65 miles of pouring rain, it slowed down for the last 20 or so, and we actually got a bit of sun as we set up camp at Fort Canby State Park.

But we made it!
